I also get an emotional...Old-fashioned all the way! I also get an emotional connection out of the physical experience of reading a book. I like to read my favorites over and over again, and see wet spots on pages that made me cry. There's nothing like it! And one bonus of living in the U.S. is that paper books are cheap.
